Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and CPR/AED
This nineteen-hour ECSI accredited course consists of instruction devoted to medical evaluation and treatment in the wilderness setting where definitive medical care is not readily available. This three-session course covers presentations on the variety of situations you might encounter in the backcountry and wilderness areas followed as well as practical, hands-on training in the field.
This course is offered by the State offices of the CMC.
This 3-day course has classroom and field sessions are Friday, August 23, from 6 pm to 9:30 pm, and Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25, from 9 am to 6 pm at the CMC/American Mountaineering Center at 710 10th St, Golden, CO.
This course satisfies a requirement for trip leaders.
An e-book link and more details will be sent to the email you registered with the Wednesday prior to the course start date. Please check your junk/spam folder around that time if you do not receive the email. Please do the same thing after the completion of the class, certification cards are emailed to you and often end up in junk/spam folders.
Upon the successful completion of the course, you will receive your WFA/CPR/AED card via email within a week.
