Details

This is a beautiful hike to an alpine lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. There are lots of wildflowers and a couple of waterfalls. We will meet at 6:30am at the parking lot east of the CMC Building and be on the road no later than 6:45am.

Leave the CMC go and north on  hwy 93 to Coal Creek Canyon. Take left at the light on hwy 72. Turn sharp right on hwy 119.  And turn left on Eldora Ave, go to the Fourth of July Trailhead. A Google search of 4th of July Trailhead works as well.  The trailhead is at 10,100 ft. and Diamond Lake is at 10.960 ft. elevation

Will need two others to drive. The road is a bit rough near the trailhead, so need a car with decent clearance. Any SUV will do.  Here is a link to the Diamond Lake Trailhead: https://goo.gl/maps/uvMmU1NGgiM2
