This loop hike straddles the far western reaches of Hall Ranch and Button Rock Preserve. You will not find this trail on any maps. For the most part, the trail is easy to navigate.

Our route takes us along North St. Vrain Creek for about a mile, then climbs through forest and descends past rock outcrops into the broad grassland of Antelope Park. There are striking views of snow-capped Longs, Meeker, and Twin Sisters, as well as peaks to the south of those. The loop continues west on the Button Rock Trail, crossing the wide meadow. After gaining elevation again in the trees, we’ll descend back to the creek via Sleepy Lion Trail. Cumulative elevation gain is 1,600 feet.

When carpooling, bring plastic bag for muddy/dirty boots as a courtesy to drivers.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
