This is an elective trip for the 2019 Fort Collins Alpine Scrambling Course (ASC).  Non-students are welcome but ASC students will be given sign-up preference.  The trip will be led John Wullschleger (ASC Instructor) and Steve Dielman (Trip Leader and Asst. ASC Instructor).

This is a fun half-day trip close to home with a scramble up Arthur's East Ridge to the summit over moderate Class 3 terrain with some (fairly mild) exposure in a few spots.   After scrambling to the top, we will return down via Arthur's Rock Trail.  The route is not highly strenuous due to short approach and modest elevation gain but you should be prepared for as much as 800 vertical feet of sustained scrambling on the way up.  Leaders will bring a short rope and other safety gear.

Required supplemental equipment: helmet, climbing harness or diaper sling, a few locking carabiners.
