This popular trail climbs the ridge between Truesdell Creek and Beartracks Creek to Lower Beartrack Lake. From the Camp Rock Campground, the trail travels along a Bear Creek for about a mile. On crossing the creek, it climbs through the 485 acre Beartracks Fire (1998). Leaving the burn, it continues up the ridge, briefly joins the Cub Creek trail, then turns SW and crosses Beartracks Creek to the lake.

This is a Bobcats trip. The Bobcats' mission is to ensure a variety of challenging CMC trips, especially “B Difficult” and “C” hikes and Difficult Snowshoes, for our mostly age-50+ constituents.  We may sponsor other activities of interest to our members, everything from bike rides to camping. Although we have members, we don’t have dues or elections, and our trips are non-exclusive. We welcome all CMC members to sign up for any Bobcats trip regardless of age or Bobcats membership.
