Location

Due to the current snow and all the additional snow that is expected tonight and tomorrow with continued accumulations up to the day of our hike I have to change the Twin Sister Peak hike to Green Mountain Peak out of Boulder.  We will be making a loop that is 5.7 miles and has an elevation gain of 2,800 feet.  This hike will start at the Kinnikinnick Road parking lot off of Baseline Road.  We will start up the Chautauqua trail making our way up Ski Jump, Amphitheater, then on to Saddle Rock which is steep and has a ladder due to damage from the 2013 flood.  Then on to the E. M. Greenman trail where we will find the summit and have great views of the Indian Peaks and Boulder.  The way down we will take the Ranger trail to Gregory Canyon then back down.  We may have an opportunity to see the diverse wildlife that resides on the from range.

Meet at 7:15 with a 7:30 departure at the CoorsTEX parking lot just east of CMC.  We will drive Hwy 93 for 16 miles to Boulder than turning slightly left on to Broadway.  Approximately 300 feet turn left on to Baseline Road and go1 mile to Kinnikinnick Road and turn left. At 0.2 miles you will arrive at the parking lot.

40 miles X .30 = $12 each car pool will reimburse the driver.

After the hike we can get together at Sun Mountain Pub And Brewery for a celebration if you feel like it.  Sun Mountain is CASH ONLY! No credit cards

This is an LIT hike for Ken Ruiz.  Please join us as he completes his leader training requirements.
