The easy Ceran Saint Vrain Trail follows the South Saint Vrain Creek downstream for 1.9 miles. The trail ends at National Forest System Road 252, a rough four-wheel drive road. This road climbs 0.5 miles northwest to a four-way intersection from which it is a steep half-mile to the left up to Miller Rock. Miller Rock is a scenic high-point that offers 360-degree views.

Feel free to bring your dog!

Dress in layers to be prepared for all types of weather. Light hiking boots or trail running shoes are appropriate in good weather.  Remember to Carry the Ten Essentials: This includes map & compass for navigation, sun protection, extra clothing, illumination, first-aid supplies, fire starter, repair kit & tools, food, water and an emergency shelter, hydration, snacks, and sunscreen.

For early morning or late afternoon hikes be sure to bring a headlamp. Cold temps warrant gloves and a hat.
