This is a joint trail maintenance project in the Maroon Bells Wilderness with our friends at Wilderness Workshop. The focus will be on adding steps and waterbars to existing trails, as well as repairing areas where users are cutting switchbacks. We'll car camp Friday and Saturday night at a secluded spot behind the Maroon Lake Visitors Center. This allows participants to enjoy evening strolls on Maroon Lake without the daytime crowds. We will do maintenance work on Saturday and again on Sunday morning, returning Sunday afternoon. Hiking distance each day is 3-4 miles RT maximum. Participants will need to provide their own camping gear (tents and sleeping bags). All food will be provided. Participants can work either Saturday or Sunday or both days. Camping is optional. When you sign-up, in the comments box please let us know which days you wish to work and what nights you will be camping. We will send out details on meeting spots and carpooling as we get closer to the project date.

For members from the Front Range, please note this trip is on the Western Slope with a 3-4 hour drive time from the Denver area to the meeting spot.

When you sign-up, in the comments box please let us know which days you wish to work and what nights you will be camping.
