Coming from COS/Woodland Park: From Hwy 24, turn N on Park County 77, Tarryall Rd and drive to Park County 23, Turner Gulch Rd.

Coming from Denver metro: Take 285S to Jefferson. From Jefferson on Hwy 285 S, turn L on to Park County 77 and reach Park County 23 at 16.9 miles

Go S, then E on Turner Gulch Rd and turn S (left) on FS 144, Packer Gulch Rd, at 1.5 miles. Reset trip odometer. Go S on FS 144, turn SSE (L) at 0.3 mi, go straight at 1.7 mi, turn SSE (L) at 2.5 mi, and reach the TH at 4 mi. (Directions from Roach's LCW). The TH is a small pull-out on the L side of the road with a stake that says, "No Vehicles" (meaning off-road). If you start climbing into the trees, you've gone too far.

The "Four Pumas" are Puma Peak, Little Puma, Farnum Peak, and Burntop, as described in Gerry and Jennifer Roach's Colorado's Lost Creek Wilderness book. We will climb Puma by the North Slopes route, descend to the saddle between Puma and Little Puma, climb Little Puma, descend to the saddle between Little Puma and Farnum, climb Farnum, finish with Burntop and return to the TH via Burntop's South Ridge route.

Much of the hike after Puma will be off-trail.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
