Location

RMOTHG Kenosha Pass West

Come join us for a casual paced  hike on the west side of Kenosha Pass.  The trail is a gentle climb with beautiful views of South Park and the Mosquito Range.  While we are in the forest, there are numerous shelter teepees that people have used. After the viewpoint, the trail travels a short distance uphill, then makes its way down toward Guernsey Creek. This will be an out and back hike.  This will be  a steady uphill climb on the way back.   When we scouted, we encountered some people that are hiking/biking Segment 6 of the Colorado trail and on the way home we saw a moose in the field right off of the highway!

We will meet and leave promptly at 7:30 AM across the street  from the Phillips/Conoco Morrison Station on the East side.

16283 Morrison Road. Morrison 80465  Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can arrange carpools.

There will be an optional after snack stop in Conifer at  the Staples shopping center at Liks Ice Cream.

Driving directions will be given at the meet-up parking lot.

Please advise the leader if you have any medical issues before the hike.
