Abbie Gentry will be the Leader in Training for this hike.  Abbie will be responsible for communication and leading the trip.

As the Instructor Leader, Linda Lawson will be responsible for safety of the group and for evaluating Abbie's trip leader skills on the trip.

This hike begins at the Tanglewood Creek trail head and gradually climbs N to NW to a saddle along Pegmatite ridge. The bulk of the elevation gain is  over the first 3 ½ miles, so expect some tough steep sections. From the saddle, we’ll then descend approximately 300’ in 1 mile to Roosevelt Lakes where we can finally enjoy lunch. Our return trip involves 300’ of character building elevation gain, but having just finished lunch, it might feel like a thousand feet!

Peaks in the area are Bandit, Royal Mountain and Rosalie.

Please bring plenty of water, lunch & snacks and your 10 essentials.

We will be going up hill from the lakes after lunch so you may want to eat lightly at the lakes and then munch on something more solid after we travel uphill 300'.

LIT will provide two-day advance e-mail to roster giving weather conditions, etc.
