Requirement, every hiker should be able to do 1000 - 1500 ft elevation per hour and minimum 1 mile hour, basically a moderate pace.

From Hoosier Pass route we will initially hike approx 4.5 miles to reach the summit of Hoosier Ridge. From Hoosier Pass and it's only 1 additional mile to reach Red Mt Pk C which is a ranked peak. Red Mountain (C) is the third highest peak named Red Mountain in the State of Colorado, at an elevation of 13,229' it is also the 456th highest peak overall in the state. Having climbed Pk C we will initially reverse course and then angle east wards towards unranked Red Pk A at 13,215 ft (if weather allows) before re climbing Hoosier Ridge to return to the cars.

Breaks will be taken as a group. In an effort to be respectful to other participants if you are unsure if this is an appropriate hike for you, please discuss with the leader prior to signing up.
