Details

This is a trip for RMOTHG members.  This will be an out and back hike on Mule Deer Trail, starting at Ole Barn Knoll and turning around at Panorama Point.  We will plan to eat our lunch/mid-morning snack while taking in the majestic views at Panorama Point.  Be prepared for about a half mile (roughly 200') of additional elevation gain after lunch.  Outhouses are located both at Ole Barn Knoll and Panorama Point.

Please bring your 10 essentials, lunch/snacks, and plenty of water.  If you are accustomed to hiking with trekking poles, be aware that there are some narrow sections of the trail that traverse through tall grass where you may wish to carry the poles and/or attach them to your pack.  Conversely, there are a few steep sections of trail where trekking poles will certainly come in handy if you have them.

Please advise the trip leaders in advance should you have any medical issues that may affect you on this hike.
