From the trailhead, we follow the Tanglewood Creek trail and enter the Mount Evans Wilderness. Our destination is the high ridge running east from Mount Rosalie. There are many rocky points along the ridge going east. Our goal will be the Unnamed Point 12,227.

Trekking poles suggested due to some occasional rockiness of the trail. There also are a couple easy stream crossings.

The leader has seen moose in the willow patches just below tree line. Right at tree line, we'll see some bristlecone pine and there are great views back down valley.

The road off 285 is mostly paved. The road is gravel and dirt the last few miles to the trailhead. While bumpy in places, it is generally passable for passenger cars.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
