Meet at the Coors Tech Lot across from the CMC Building for a prompt 6:00 am departure.  I will need a Denver area carpool leader as I will be meeting the group at the Lyons Park.  Those meeting in  Lyons need to be there by 6:50 am.

There is a restroom in Lyons  and at both Trailheads.  In Lyons, Please park on Railroad Ave near public restroom in Sandstone Park.  We will meet Denver area riders there and take as few cars as possible to trailhead.

Please state which location you will be meeting the group in the COMMENT section when you sign up.  If you are meeting us in the Estes Park area, please contact the leader via email also

Join me on a beautiful Fall  hike to Sky Pond and Lake Haiyaha in Rocky Mountain National Park.  Hopefully the leaves will still be colorful and maybe hear some bugling?.  We will start at the Glacier Gorge or Bear Lake Trailhead depending on parking availability.  We will follow the trail past The Loch heading towards Lake of Glass and Sky Pond.  At Timberline Falls, the trail up to Lake of Glass and Sky Pond is a steep scramble to the right-side of the waterfall. Be aware, the rock may be slick and this area is very steep. Hikers should have good footwear, and may need to be patient for those who are descending this section of the trail. In most of this segment, there is only room for one hiker at a time to safely negotiate the scramble. Many hikers will find the descent of this short portion of the trail more difficult than the way up.  We will retrace our steps down from Sky Pond until we reach the Loch and Mills Lake intersection.  We will then take the little used trail to Lake Haiyaha then loop back to Bear Lake.

All participants sign up with the knowledge that their contact information may be shared with the other hike participants for transportation related reasons.
