Details

Limited to Members of RMOTHG and Their Guests.
We will hike at a RELAXED, CASUAL PACE on a well maintained trail which is mostly flat for the first mile. The trail goes through meadows and wetlands skirting Geneva Creek with views of Geneva Peak and Square Top Mountain. We continue through a dense lodge pole pine and aspen forest. The Geneva Creek later becomes the Burning Bear Creek. The few creek crossings are easy. At about 2.5 miles from the trailhead we reach our lunch spot near the remnants of an old cabin. After that we will return by the same route. We hope the aspens, willows, and foliage will be in full fall color.

There will be an optional snack stop at Liks Ice Cream after the hike.
