Nordic ski to just below one of North America's most iconic mountains, and enjoy the breathtaking view all to yourself. This scenic and moderate 12 mile out-and-back trail sees just about no tourists compared to the summer season when the road is open to cars. With a gentle slope (1,000 feet of elevation), 14ers all around, nothing but the sound of nature, and an easy-to-follow groomed trail, this adventure is a must do! T Lazy 7 Ranch grooms the trail but they also run snowmobiling tours along the same road. There is plenty of room on the road for the snowmobilers to pass and it happens about 2-3 times while climbing up the Maroon Lake Scenic Area.

Groomed track means no AT gear, skins, or metal edge skis needed. Just basic Nordic skis.

This is an all day event due to the length. Optional early dinner stop afterwards.

Must have prior XC ski experience.

If avalanche danger is high, we will ski Ashcroft XC ski area (fee area) which is in the next drainage and away from avalanche danger.

Front Range members: please come and make a weekend of it.

Leader can provide accomodations ideas.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
