The snowshoe will begin at the Glacier Gorge trailhead. I like to take the summer trail toward Alberta Falls to Mills Junction. At the Junction, depending on conditions, we will either continue on the summer trail or follow Icy Brook through the gorge (the winter trail) to the Loch. We will then cross the Loch to the Timberline Falls trail and follow it to the Falls. After enjoying the views, we will more or less re-trace our track back to the Loch. At the northeast side of the Loch, we will go off trail and hike up Middle Glacier Knob. The hike will involve some easy class 2 scrambling, but the views make it worthwhile. We will have spectacular views of Glacier Gorge, Sky Pond area and Andrews Glacier. We will then hike down the Knob and continue to Serendipity Pond and to the Glacier Gorge winter trail. Then back to the trailhead
