This is a snowshoe of approximately 5 miles in the Pike National Forest off the Guanella Pass Road out of Grant, CO. Participants on the Glacier & Whitefish Ski & Snowshoe Adventure will be given priority to sign up with a password. If space allows, it may be opened up to other CMC members. We will start at the Geneva Park Campground and parallel Geneva Creek to a meadow with a totem pole where we can eat lunch. We can return by the same route or turn south and over a low pass to Bruno Gulch Campground then east and north to our starting point.

We will be on snowshoes with poles.  Please review your pack for 10 essentials, particularly given winter conditions. This area is often quite windy and cold.  Dress accordingly, in layers. The trailhead sits at about 9800'. We will have a maximum elevation gain of approximately 300'.  Remember water, lunch, snacks for the entire day.  Plan on a full day for the trip.

Please volunteer to drive if you have AWD or 4WD.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
