Details

Sunset is a magical time! Join us for a fun, moderately-paced social hike, starting in daylight and finishing before pitch-dark. We usually aren't disappointed in the changing light show.  We will stop at a viewpoint and all are invited (but not required) to bring snacks to share (unless it is nasty out, then we will keep hiking!)

Conditions permitting, I am planning to hike on the High Plains trail that skirts Hwy 128 to the east from the Greenbelt Plateau Trailhead.  This will be an out-and-back and if we go as far as the junction with the Coalton Trail, about 5.5 miles round trip. Bring a headlamp as it may be dark before we get back to the cars.

To better track participation, please register ahead of time for this trip but it is also OK to show up at the carpool location.

Come prepared for any weather with good footwear, rain jacket, headlamp or flashlight, and traction devices if trails may be icy.  Option for after-hike food and drink at a nearby restaurant.
