Prerequisites: WTS graduate with successful completion of the ice axe self-arrest module during the WTS Snow Day; Denver Group C hiking classification; age 14 or older.

Registration for this course opens March 1st at 12:01am.

Click on the link to go to the ASC Self-Evaluation Process which will help confirm you are ready to enroll in the course. The Self-Evaluation will discuss goals and desires, help you determine your level of comfort with exposure, and assess your current level of physical conditioning.

Step 2: Register through the CMC Calendar.

Step 3: Once registered, again go to the Alpine Scrambling Course homepage and click on the link to go to the Registration and Application Process. Complete the Application Form and mail/email page 1 to the Course Director.

Anticipated Costs: $115 tuition for Denver Group Members and up to $260 for the required equipment. There may be additional costs if you need to update/upgrade personal items (boots, pack, clothing, etc.).


CMC School Tuition Refund Policy (revised for 2020):

Denver Group school refund policy is as follows: Student/participant requests for a refund of tuition/fees must be requested in writing (e.g. email) to the appropriate school or event director.

Cancel or withdraw 31 or more days from the start date of the school: Full refund will be issued less the $35 per person processing fee. Or, a full credit can be transferred to the same or another school in the future without incurring the processing fee.

Cancel or withdraw 8 to 30 days from the start date of the school: Full refund will be issued less 25% of the fee paid but no less than the $35 per person processing fee. Or, full credit can be deferred until the next same school without incurring the processing fee; however, if the same school in the future is not on the schedule at the time of cancellation, then the deferment is not an option.

Cancel or withdraw 7 days or less from the start date of the school: No refund or credit will be issued.
