The class will be held in Conference Room A at the American Mountaineering Center/CMC in Golden on the main floor by the North entrance. The building will be opened for students at 6:15pm (the building is locked at all other times due to COVID-19).

NOTE:  Leaders and prospective leaders seeking to have their CPR costs covered under the  Support Aid for Leader Training (SALT) program MUST first apply through the Denver Safety and Leadership committee - see https://goo.gl/DhBZfM for the SALT application and tuition coverage program. SALT does not provide for reimbursements for students who self-pay in advance of the class.

We are offering a small CPR/AED class at the AMC/CMC buiding conference rooms with a limit of six students on March 9, 2021 at 6:30pm. Each student will be socially-distanced by at least six feet apart. A separate mannequin and AED trainer will be provided to each student to work individually on CPR and AED skills. Students will not work in groups as is done in our normal, pre-COVID-19 CPR/AED classes. Our certified CPR/AED Laura Zaruba instructor will also be teaching the class. Students completing the class will receive a two-year Adult CPR/AED certification from ECSI. Please note that the CMC State CPR/AED course does not include Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification.

This class does not cover Wilderness First Aid, and does not meet the Wilderness First Aid (WFA) requirements for CMC leaders or school instructors.

All requests for cancelations must be made to Jeff Flax at Jeff.Flax@gmail.com.  There are no cancelation charges for this course, although please notify the school director ASAP if you need to cancel.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING REGARDING CMC/RMOTHG CLASSES DURING THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK:

We will be following all current CMC protocols, recommendations, and guidelines for the pandemic, including but not limited to the following.

2. If you have any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with symptoms or a positive test, please cancel immediately. There is no cancelation fee for this class. If you are currently waiting for COVID test results, you are not able to join us on this class.
3. You must check your temperature prior to the class. If your temperature is over 100.4 degrees, you must cancel the class.
4. You must have hand sanitizer (70% alcohol) to use.
5. You may not share food or water with anyone during the class.
6. If you develop symptoms within 14 days of the trip, you need to let the school director know.
