Meeting Information:  Time to meet = 7:30 AM for a 8:00 AM start

Take I-70 west and take the Genesee exit.  At the top of the exit ramp you will have a panaroma view of the mountains and maybe a bison or two.  Turn left and follow the road across I-70 to an immediate intersection.  Turn right and follow Genesee Mountain Road as it winds up to the Park.  Pass a small parking lot a 1.0 mile, then a "Genesee Mountain" sign plus green metal gates at 1.5 miles and finally, around the corner, at 1.7 miles, you will arrive at the main parking lot.  The road continues up the mountain, but it is gated at the picnic area, so park here where the walk will begin.

A Men's and Women's Latrine structure is just east of the parking lot.

This is a birding walk. Our Naturalist is Norm Lewis. CMC Press has just published his book, The Best Front Range Bird Hikes.

The round trip takes maybe 4 hours, including rest stops.  We will be done before lunch, but bring water and a snack for energy.

IMPORTANT: Bring a pair of binoculars.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
