Please obtain the passcode from one of your humble leaders - you'll need a passcode to register:

Leader; Claude Neumann  720-231-3039

co-leader; Roger J. Wendell 720-443-3944

Please meet at the group campground anytime after 1 pm on Monday May 31. The campground is located in the Needles District of Canyonland National Park. We'll provide you with the name of the campground once you're approved for the trip.

The group campground is very comfortable as it's located in a small canyon that isolates it from other campgrounds and people. It includes a large picnic table, pit toilet, and potoable water.

Hiking - There will be optional hikes throughout our entire stay (each day). We usually average over 25 miles of hiking but, on a daily basis, these are usually "B" level hikes. If heat is an issue which can happen this time of year, we will deal with it as a group either by changing hike lengths, times, or consideration to hike at higher elevations. We are planning on doing a one day trip / shorter hike to nearby Bear's Ears National Monment which has been a political football from the Trump administration to the Biden administration.

Camping - You'll need to bring everything needed to make car/tent/trailer camping comfortable for yourself. (Normally we share a little food each evening for a potluck but need to avoid that this year due to COVID)

Also, please bring some firewood. There's a firepit we'll use if there's no ban in effect.

Cost - You'll also need to bring cash to contribute to the fees we've paid for the site. The amount needed is usually less than $40 per person but depends on the number of participants we end up with.

Please remember to bring your fun!
