Haven't led a hike since Feb 2020, so want to start with Reynolds, one of my favorite trails, in this easy/intermediate (moderate) hike, 4.5 miles RT, starting elevation 7254, elev gain 940' to 8159' high point. We'll follow a SLOW, CASUAL, RELAXED PACE where we savor scenery and include a few quiet poetic pauses. We follow Elkhorn, Oxen Draw, and Eagle's View trails as we walk UP (a kind gentle UP) about 2 miles next to diverse terrain, not too rocky, mostly shady till mostly sunny top with terrific view of Pike's Peak and foothills. We'll step-over 12 streams I hope are still happily flowing! Tho this trail can be a loop, I HATE jeep trails (the second half of the "loop") so this will be an up and back as terrain looks prettily different as we go down. This hike is for those of us recovering our hiking legs and I'll count on you, as usual, being my fellow "co-leaders" since you always do such a good job cooperating, appreciating, having fun! Look forward to finally seeing you!

Again, LOOK FOR, READ TUES NIGHT EMAIL (6 pm) for last minute important info including possible time changes, weather info!

Please bring a mask.

Bring your usual essentials, lots of WATER, meds/ID/vital info, first aid kit, hat/sunscreen for sunnier top, poles to make the gentle UP even easier. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY MED CONDITION you may have that could cause you or us a problem on the trail. LET ME KNOW where your sugar stash is if you have diabetes or pre-diabetes, if you carry an epi pen or nitro for angina, whether you've had recent surgery on your hip or some other body part. Just finished Wilderness First Aid where we talked about some folks not telling us leaders when you have med conditions we should know about just in case!  PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
