Join the Colorado Mountain Club for a special virtual presentation with OpenSnow's Joel Gratz alongside an exclusive premiere of The Road West Traveled's newest snow film: Turns All Year! Joel will present on powder in Colorado, something we all know and love. He will take us through multiple forecasts for this winter and discuss if we should trust them. We'll also get geeky and dig into weather models and snow report data to understand how we can use this information to forecast snow in Colorado’s high mountains and how to find the best powder. A Road West Traveled's Turns All Year presents the not so average skier, Carl Zimmer. Unlike the typical powder-chaser, his ski turns are not limited by the seasons. In fact, they’re not limited by much at all. He skis every month of the year and he’s been doing that for 32 years, straight. Join us on a journey as we follow him each month of his 32nd year. Turns All Year is an inspirational story of sacrifice, friendship, and what it takes to pursue your passion.

Joel Gratz is the founding meteorologist and Colorado forecaster for OpenSnow.com, a website and mobile app that provides snow forecasts and travel advice to over 2.5 million skiers and snowboarders annually. When he’s not forecasting and running the business, Joel talks excitedly about weather to anyone who will listen and he also finds plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors through skiing, biking, hiking, and even chasing and photographing thunderstorms and tornadoes.

The Road West Traveled is an adventure production company based in Boulder, CO. Their work is inspired by thrill seekers, early morning risers, weekend warriors, and adrenaline junkies. Backcountry ski lines, gnarly crags, and steep mountain faces are the mediums with which we create visual art and authentic content. There are mountains to climb, couloirs to be skied, and stories waiting to be told.

How it works: The clinic will be held on Zoom and will begin at 6pm MDT and run 60 minutes including a 15 minute Q&A for participants. If you're new to Zoom, please allow yourself at least 15 minutes before the meeting to download and familiarize yourself with Zoom. Download Zoom at: htt

Notes

Special One Night Virtual Presentation
 6:00pm - 8:00pm Mountain Standard Time

Tickets: $10 Individual | $25 Household | Custom Amount Option*

The CMC historically raises critical funds towards our efforts in climbing, education, recreation, and conservation by hosting large film festivals and events. While we can't all gather as an outdoor community together right now—we can all get inspired by the athletes, stories, and journeys in presentations like this. With COVID-19 causing almost all revenue sources for the CMC to shutdown, the proceeds from this virtual presentation will help fund our missions as an outdoor non-profit.

*During a historically challenging time for all of us, we want to include as many outdoor enthusiasts in this rad adventure film festival. If you have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and don't have the resources to purchase the full ticket prices, please select a dollar amount that you are comfortable with (in $1 increments)

Let's enjoy an incredible presentation and celebrate adventure from the comfort of our own living rooms!
