​Experience the Grand Canyon's hidden areas on this 12-day, hike-intensive raft trip. Hatch River Expeditions will lead our group down 188 miles of river on 35-foot, motorized S-rig boats, while giving us access to hikes in areas that can only be reached from the river.

Utah — Biking & Hiking


Spend six days mountain biking, hiking, and camping in the heart of Ancient Puebloan country in southeastern Utah’s Cedar Mesa region.  This vehicle-supported adventure takes you across high plateaus and into canyons to extraordinary but little known Anasazi ruins. Discover rock art, cliff dwellings, and intriguing evidence of civilizations of long ago.

Japan — Hiking & Culture


Experience rural, spiritual and historic Japan at the peak of fall foliage in both Koyasan and along the Nakasendo Way. This B-level trip starts in the city of Osaka where we’ll have an opportunity to explore the energetic Dotonbori neighborhood. Then, head up the mountain to Koyasan to stay in a Buddhist temple complex and immerse yourself in the food and rituals of the monks who live there. Travel by bullet train to central Honshu—where the foliage will be incredible—and walk for six days along the ancient Nakasendo Way as it passes through the Kiso River Valley. We’ll visit eleven 18th century post-towns, where fresh horses, accommodation, and food were provided to travelers of old. End in Tokyo with a visit to the famous Tsukiji Fish Market.

Mexico — Hiking & Culture


This 13-day adventure delves into the culture, history and tastes of the Zapotec people of Mexico. Starting in the capital city of Oaxaca (pronounced "wah-HAH-kah"), we'll tour pyramids, ancient sites and an alijebre craft center (where the famous carved figurines are made). We'll spend a day urban hiking Oaxaca, getting close and personal with the various barrios. Next, we'll work our way up the mountain, stopping in the central valley for a pueblo-to-pueblo amble and learn how to make mole and tortillas. Then up to the Sierra Madre mountains where we’ll trek for the next few days from village to village in the Pueblos Mancomunados (6000’-9500’ elevation). Here we’ll experience canyons, caves, waterfalls, panoramas, deciduous cactus and sub-alpine forests. We may be able to spot wildlife from among the 400 bird species—including the colorful quetzal bird—350 species of butterflies, and 6 varieties of big cats. After our fill of Zapotec hospitality, we’ll return to Oaxaca for the Dia de Los Muertos celebration--Oaxaca City is the headquarters of this colorful and tasty Mexican festival.

Japan — Trekking & Culture


Experience Japan at the peak of fall foliage!  Spend three days exploring the rich history of ancient Kyoto, once the Imperial capital of Japan. Visit a variety of shrines, temples, beautiful gardens and interesting neighborhoods with a local guide and on our own. Then, travel by train to Tanabe and enjoy this coastal town before heading up into the mountains of the Kii Peninsula for our 7-day guided trek along the UNESCO World Heritage pilgrimage route of the Kumano Kodo. Travel by train from the end of the trek to Osaka, a vibrant modern Japanese city ripe for exploration.

Mexico — Mountaineering & Culture

Summit the four tallest Mexican volcanoes (all higher than CO 14ers) with the best local guides.  Take pictures of gorgeous mountain sceneries during the sun rise.  Taste authentic local food prepared by locals who will host us in their homes. Climb to the top the famous Teotihuacan pyramids.  Visit the historical city of Puebla. Watch Popocatepetl, an active volcano, peacefully erupt only a few miles away. Learn about local culture, history, and traditional dances.  Join locals for salsa dancing and tequila tasting to celebrate the trip.

Patagonia — Trekking

Travel to the south and relax on beaches, discover underwater worlds, and hangout in jungles.

Haute Trip Ski Tour

Switzerland — Ski Touring



Ski one of the world’s most famous ski treks, the Haute Route from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland.  From the shadows of Mont Blanc, the route traverses the high Alps to the picturesque village of Zermatt.  The "High Level Road" was pioneered in the mid-1800's as a walking tour and first skied in the early 1900's.  This world-renown high-mountain ski tour includes five days of steep ascents, imposing glaciers, jaw-dropping scenery, and big ski descents!  The itinerary also includes a warm-up day of skiing in Chamonix, and a day for sightseeing or additional skiing in Zermatt after the trek.

Grand Canyon - Rafting & Hiking

Experience hidden wonders in the Grand Canyon on this 12-day, hike-intensive raft trip.  Professional guides, from Hatch River Expeditions, will lead the group down 188 miles of river on motorized S-rig boats.  This river running experience maximizes time to explore the amazing side canyons on foot and see the amazing geology, history, and unique floral and fauna found there.  If boats and hikes aren’t enough, the trip will conclude with a helicopter flight out of the canyon and an airplane fight back to the start.

Scotland's Glen Way

Scotland - Trekking


This 12-day adventure starts in Glasgow with some good Scottish fun! Explore Glasgow on a food walking tour, then it's off to Fort William. Here, you'll hike Ben Nevis, United Kingdom's tallest mountain at 4,406' elevation (optional). Up next is your 7-day, 79-mile trek along the Great Glen Way. It follows the Caledonian Canal, a ship canal built in the 1800s linking the east and west coasts of Scotland. Sometimes you'll hike on historic tow paths next to the canal, other times high above it on ancient roads and forest tracks. Each night you'll stay on a barge where an crew provides local/cultural/historical information and chef-prepared meals. You'll end the adventure in Inverness and visit the Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns--both sites familiar to "Outlander" fans!

Iceland - Trekking

Come explore this amazing trek and include the Skógar extension, ending at the stunning 200-foot-high Skógafoss waterfall.  Your 50-mile trek will start in Landmannalaugar, known for its multicolored rhyolite mountains and hot springs. Switzerland - Trekking Mont Blanc


Hike one of the world’s classic treks on this incredible journey around majestic Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe. The Tour du Mont Blanc encircles this amazing massif, nicknamed the “Monarch of the Alps.” At an elevation of 15,777 ft, glaciers cover approximately 40 square miles of Mont Blanc—hence its name, meaning “white mountain.”  This challenging trek is a 107-mile circuit with 6.2 miles of elevation gain and loss, and spectacular scenery. You'll hike 5-9 hours a day through stunning mountain passes, verdant meadows, lush forests, and glacial valleys.  You'll cross the borders of France, Italy and Switzerland on foot.

Rafting the Grand CanyonItaly — Easy Hikes in the Dolomites


Begin with a week of guided A- and easy B-level hikes in the Bolzano region. Travel by ski lift to the start of each hike and enjoy striking views. There will also be an option for a Via Ferrata hike for those interested. Accommodations are in a four-star hotel, famous for its chef and superb meals.




Rafting the Grand CanyonSwitzerland — Hiking

Visit the Bernese Oberland and Engadin regions of the Swiss Alps on this 10-day hiking adventure. Oberland is famous for its beautiful glaciers and flower-filled valleys. Take A- and easy B-level day hikes in the area of the Eiger, Youngfrau, and Mönch Mountains. Then travel to the more off-the-beaten-path Engadin region for more hiking and experience unforgettable train rides along the way. The group will stay in historic hotels with excellent food.
