 k is an adventureous trip that traverses beautiful narrows in 40 Mile 
 Creek\, visits a spectacular arch in Willow Gulch\, and explores the l
 ower reaches of 40 Mile Creek that normally lay under the waters of La
 ke Powell. It is not without its challenges: in spite of the relativel
 y modest distances and elevation gain (a total of roughly 18 miles\, 1
 000 ft.) the travel is often over difficult terrain requiring occasion
 al scrambles and through spring-fed narrows that necessitate wading to
  traverse
