 ation gain hike along the Walker Ranch loop. Starting from the Flagsta
 ff Road trailhead and hiking clockwise\, the Walker Ranch loop descend
 s through pine forest and meadows to South Boulder Creek\, where it cr
 osses via a wooden bridge near Boulder Falls. This moderate to challen
 ging hike features rocky sections\, steep steps and switchbacks\, and 
 about 1,600 feet of elevation gain before climbing back through open t

DESCRIPTION:Ascending Hikes Section (AHS): Mount Morrison is the bigge
 st\, baddest\, rough and tumble\, slog of a hike in the Denver Mountai
 n Park system.  It also may be the most exciting\, most fun\, and most
  scenic trail in the system as well. This relatively short hike up to 
 the summit of Mount Morrison includes about 2000 ft of elevation gain.
  Mount Morrison is one of the most prominent peaks of Denver’s Front R
 ange and its summit and foothills offer awesome vantage points of the 
 other snowcapped mountains to the west and the Denver Metro area to th
 e east. This is the fifth in a summer series of AHS hikes.

 06 feet (3,964 meters). It lies near the towns of Fairplay and Alma\, 
 within Park County. The mountain is part of the larger Rocky Mountains
  and offers scenic views of the surrounding alpine landscapes\, includ
