From Denver area, drive west on I-70 to exit 171 (past Vail), Take US 24 E, 17.4 miles to Homestake Reservoir Rd, continue 7.8 miles to Missouri Creek Rd., Take Missouri Creek Rd. 2.2 miles to Missouri Lakes Trailhead, Turn left and go past the trailhead, road turns into 4x4 at this point. Travel 1.2 miles to Sopris Lake trail head.
