This completes the learning taking the online components and applying them in the field.

Before departing, CMC Leaders will participate in a 1-2 hour lecture that solidifies learning principles in the online portion. Following the lecture, participants will caravan to the field portion.

The field exercise allows students to use slope meters to determine potential avalanche-prone terrain and non-prone avalanche terrain as well as to determine route findings. These techniques can be taught with or without snow conditions.

We'll meet for the morning lecture at Boulder Rural Fire Rescue's classroom, then go up to Caribou for the afternoon field session.
