Community
Members and volunteer leaders are the roots of the Colorado Mountain Club. Like any genuine collective, our members make us who we are—and have done so since our founders first dreamed up a community of open-minded explorers. Our makeup is changing, intentionally so. But our ethos is embedded: supporting a legacy of education, adventure, and community.
We welcome—and rely on—members from different walks of life with a common interest: playing responsibly in wild places while preserving them for the future. As our members and volunteer leaders grow from curious mentees to confident mentors, they leave a trail of inspiration. Here, we dedicate our time to building cooperative knowledge, compassion, and leadership skills so we can share it out there.
