Field trip: Alpine Scrambling Course
Level 1: Scramble Field Day – Golden Gate Canyon State Park - Tremont Ridge to Tremont Mountain
This is the first of the progressive Scramble Field Days for students currently enrolled in Alpine Scrambling Course Denver. Scrambling involves long, strenuous days covering 9-13 miles with high elevation gains (greater than 2,000') Be prepared for an all day adventure and bring your winning attitude.

Hike from Bootleg Bottom picnic area along Coyote trail to
Tremont Ridge. Scramble along Tremont Mtn ridge and return to Bootleg Bottom picnic area. Optional scrambling along Promontory ridge.
- Meet Up Time: Be ready for a 6:30 AM departure.

$14 Formula: .4xRT mileage (35 miles RT/divided equally among students: BRING CASH/EXACT CHANGE).
- PARKING: Colorado Parks Pass is required - $10 for a daily pass or free with your Keep Colorado Wild Vehicle Registration Pass

NOTE: DEN ASC honors our all volunteer leaders by not including them in the carpool/parking fee contribution

PACE: moderately slow - we will practice downclimbing which is a slow process.
