Climbing Course
TCS Advanced Multi Pitch Concepts
You have probably attempted bringing two partners up routes and realized that 2:1 (two followers, one leader) climbing is a more intense experience than climbing with a single rope. Let's use this course to decrease the complexity of 2:1 multi-pitch climbing in order to keep us safe and increase our technical rope systems efficiency.
- Wed, Jul 8, 2026 - Sun, Jul 12, 2026
- Committee: Technical Climbing Section
- Members: $275.00 Guests: $375.00
- Availability: 8 (8 capacity)
- Cancellation & Refund Policy
Details of the course outline will be provided, but the overall objectives will be to answer the following questions:
- What are the different rope techniques for a party of 3 and which one should I choose?
- Parties of 3 add complexity. How can I plan ahead to avoid problems?
- You're boring me with all this work at belay stations. Can't I just climb faster?
- I'm not leading. What is the best way for me to help the team?
