We'll be hiking an assortment of trails in the City of Boulder OSMP with our goal being the summit of Green Mountain. We'll start in the Chautauqua Meadow, taking an approximate counterclockwise route to the summit. We'll experience a variety of terrains, including open meadow, forest trails, and an open, rocky summit area. There will be plenty of scenic views in all cardinal directions along this hike. Green Mountain summit is rather small, so we'll pick a spot off of the summit to stop for lunch/snack. The elevation gain over a relatively modest distance makes this a challenging hike, so our pace will be determined by the strength, stamina, and endurance of the group. We'll make our way down off the summit and continue the loop trail ending up with a long casual "stroll" down a gravel access road to our cars. (Green Mountain Loop - CalTopo)
