This immersive adventure hike to Woodland Lake and Skyscraper Reservoir begins at the Hessie Trailhead, winding through dense forests and following the cascading Middle Boulder Creek. The trail gradually ascends, passing through verdant meadows dotted with wildflowers, and offering occasional glimpses of the surrounding peaks. After several miles, the path splits, with the left fork leading to the serene Woodland Lake, nestled in a picturesque alpine basin. From Woodland Lake, the trail continues on a more rugged and less-traveled route, ascending steeply to the secluded Skyscraper Reservoir, where hikers are rewarded with panoramic views of the Continental Divide and a sense of profound solitude amidst the pristine wilderness. We'll find a comfortable spor for lunch/snack. Our pace will accommodate all participants and we will return by approximately the same route. (Skyscraper Reservoir - IPW - CalTopo)
