Ascending Hikes - Endurance – Hessie Trailhead

From Hessie Trailhead we will hike the Devil's Thumb Trail to Jasper Lake and if conditions allow we will go off trail and climb to Storm Lake. This is an out and back.

Due to the elevation bring spikes for possible ice on the trails and the climb to Storm Lake.

My preference is to go to Storm Lake if conditions allow and the group feels capable, However stopping at Jasper Lake is a respectable 9.4 miles and 1906 foot gain.

We will meet at the junction of Golden Gate Canyon Road and Highway 93 in Golden across from the assisted living center at 6:30 for a 6:45 departure. The distance round trip is 61 miles or about $18 per car.
