Hike #1 for Ascending Hikes Boulder Group - from Centennial Trailhead we will go .6 miles to reach the 2.2 mile loop. The hike is challenging and doable as a first hike. We will take it slow and steady, stopping for water and snacks, and taking good care of ourselves and each other. Introducing CMC Ascending Hikes (AHS) to the Boulder Group!
Ascending Hikes section is designed to help new, inexperienced or infrequent hikers to progressively improve their skill, fitness and comfort with doing increasingly longer and more difficult hikes. AHS hikes are open to anyone, and we would also like to assemble a dedicated Boulder Group for 2025 late summer and fall.
The 2025 Ascending Hikes program for the Boulder Group would include the following hikes: an introduction hike and a series of four progressively more difficult hikes:

We will meet at Centennial Trailhead at 9am and plan to start at 9:15pm. There are some parking spots at Centennial, yet is a popular trailhead and if there is no parking then it can be found going south along Mapleton or 4th street.
