Backcountry Nordic Skiing – Rock Creek Trail
We will be enjoying a moderately paced out and back backcountry ski on the Rock Creek Road, located approximately 6 miles north of Silverthorne. Depending on the group, we will plan to turn around where the Rock Creek trail intersects the Gore Range Trail, approximately 2.3 miles fromthe trailhead.

The route is generally very gentle with a few rolling hills that will require some limited downhill ability.
We will meet at North Pond Park in Silverthorne, located at 100 Hamilton Creek Road, 80497. North Pond Park is approximately 2-1/4 miles north on Highway 9 from the I-70 Silverthorne exit. Please plan to arrive at North Pond Park by 8:15 and be geared up and ready to carpool to the trailhead by 8:30 am. Parking at the trailhead is very limited, so please plan to carpool. If you need to meet us at the trailhead rather than at North Pond Park, please contact the trip leader for directions.
Required Equipment
Metal edged nordic touring skis will be needed.
