Trip

Backcountry Skiing/Splitboarding – Mayflower Gulch

We will head in on a fairly gentle trail until we get to treeline. Above treeline we turn right and ski up to the ridge, if avalanche conditions are safe. If not, we will ski partway up the ridge. Skiing down either in the open or in the trees. Good tree skiing skills are necessary as are strong downhill skills in general. Also required is avalanche gear: beacon, probe shovel and know how to use everything. AIARE 1 certification is a plus
