Start right at the west end of the Eisenhower tunnel. Ski north up the road or through the woods to the bottom of some fun moderate slopes at the base of Coon Hill. Lap these slopes. There is also the option to ski further up the valley and ski a moderate slope on west facing terrain. Good downhill skills are required for this trip. Also required is avalanche gear: beacon, probe shovel and know how to use everything. AIARE 1 certification is a plus.
Required Beacon, shovel, probe, and the knowledge to use them.
If you need to cancel, please use the appropriate method to cancel on the CMC website - do NOT contact leader. If you have to cancel the morning of the trip, please TEXT the leader at 303-903-8233 by 6:00 am.

Bring the usual: 10 Essentials + COVID-19 Precautions (mask & sanitizer) NO PETS please!
10 essentials and clothing appropriate for the weather, trail lunch/snacks. Hikers expect to hike in potentially cold and windy conditions. Wind and rain gear will be needed, as well as appropriate boots. I will email the group a couple days before with a weather update.
Meet at the Coon Hill/Straight Creek trailhead on the west side of the Eisenhower tunnel. Meeting time is 8 AM. If you are coming from Denver it is the first turn immediately after you pop out of the tunnel. Here is the Google map link https://goo.gl/maps/uAZvKqHQHnr358ZYA
