Basic Snowshoe – Echo Lake Park
Rocky Mountain Over The Hill Gang members or invited guests only: We will snowshoe/use spikes from Echo Mountain Stone Pavilion past Echo Lake and then join Resthouse Meadows Trail proceeding up to a ridge with some nice views (620 feet elevation gain, 4.4 miles round trip). We will return via the same route.

This trip is for dues paying members of the Rocky Mountain Over the Hill Gang (RMOTHG) Section and invited guests only. CMC members age 50 or older are invited to join the RMOTHG section!!! If interested, please contact the office at 303-279-3080 ext. 3 or office@cmc.org to join and pay the $15 annual RMOTHG member ship dues.

We will meet at 8:15am to carpool from Wooly Mammoth Parking Lot BB at I-70 exit 259 to Idaho Springs and then 12 miles up CO 103. Driving mileage about 70 miles. Cold bathrooms are available at the TH.

Required Equipment
Ten Essentials + standard winter gear (snowshoes, spikes, gaiters, poles).
Snacks and lunch.
