THIS TRIP CHANGED DESTINATION TO BURNING BEAR TRAIL DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS AT LOWER ELEVATIONS. This trip gives preference to students who completed the Beginner Snowshoe School in 2024.

If you have not completed Beginner Snowshoe School, please wait to register till a week in advance of the trip.
Due to insufficient snow, the trip is changed to Burning Bear off Guanella Pass
Meeting location: Wooly Mammoth PNR - Signage MM (Mama Mia)
Meeting time: 8:15 am for 8:30 am departure
Required Equipment
If you as a Beginner Snowshoe School Student used the CMC equipment during your school outing, you will need to rent a kit consisting of snow shoes and poles with snow baskets.
10 Essentials plus chemical hand warmers and thermos with hot water, cocoa, cider, etc. (Having a small pet in your pocket such as a hamster, duckling, kitten or puppy is not considered a chemical handwarmer :)
A weather report email will be sent by the leader two days in advance of the trip.
