Bike – Waterton Canyon to Strontia Springs Dam

The ride is a 13 mile out and back from the Waterton Canyon Trailhead to the Strontia Springs Dam. The 6.5 miles out is a gradual climb to the dam and follows the Platte River along a well packed dirt road. The road surface is suitable for all types of bikes.

FYI There are restrictions for eBikes,  please review the links below. These are not new restrictions and there have not been any issues in the past rides with having ebikes on this ride.

Arrive at the Waterton Canyon Trailhead at 9:30 AM for a prompt 10 AM departure.

Directions to the starting point
Drive south on Wadsworth Blvd. from C-470 for about 5 miles and turn left on the Waterton Canyon/Roxborough State Park Road. Proceed about 1/4; mile and turn left into the second parking lot. The trail begins across the road from the parking lot. https://goo.gl/maps/XcdGcnVuVbw

The essential items for participating are plenty of water, necessary items to repair a flat tire (replacement tube for your bike tire size), appropriate clothing for changes in the weather and carrying ID and a medical card. Wearing a helmet is mandatory.
