The trail climbs up the Booth Creek valley through mostly aspen groves before passing the 60-foot Booth Falls. Beyond the falls the trail winds through conifer forests and meadows filled with wildflowers. Above 10,000 feet the trees thin and the terrain changes offering views of the Gore Range. The last 1/4 mile to Booth Lake is steep and rocky. Much of the hike takes place above 10,000 feet in elevation.
We will meet at Wooly Mammoth Section BB at 6am and drive to Vail. As there is no parking at Booth Lake we will park at the Vail Village Parking

This is a CMC Bobcats Trip. The Bobcats’ mission is to ensure a variety of adventurous CMC trips, mostly on weekdays, all year long. Our trips tend to be faster paced, on more challenging routes, and with fewer stops. We foster a strong community of hikers seeking challenges, discovery, and camaraderie. We don’t have dues and we invite ALL CMC members to sign up for any Bobcat trip that is within their ability level.
