The hike is exploratory for this Trip Leader. It is a long loop hike mostly on good trails with great views from the Continental Divide and several high alpine lakes (Jasper, Devils Thumb, and Kings Lakes)
Due to the length of this hike, it is important that we maintain an average moving speed of 2.0 mph – slower on the up hills. As this will be a long day please do not have anything else planned that day.
Registration preference will be given to those coming to Nepal with me in November. Other members welcome but please REGISTER WITH LEADER by sending an email to Louise. If the Trip Leaders don’t know you, expect a call to make sure this is the right trip for you.
Here is the route on COTREX – you can download a gpx file into your favorite mapping tool from this link.
Meet at Plainview Rd parking lot (Google Map to Plainview Rd) at 5:55am for a prompt departure 6:05am. We will carpool to the Hessie TH (Google Map to Hessie TH) (round trip 50miles). There are porta potties at the TH.
