This hike is all above timberline, so we will need to watch the weather carefully. It also is often quite windy. There  is a steep 800' drop to a saddle on the way from Flora to Eva, and we have to back up it on the way back. This is a CMC Bobcats Trip.  The Bobcats’ mission is to ensure a variety of adventurous CMC trips, mostly on weekdays, all year long.  Our trips tend to be faster paced, on more challenging routes, and with fewer stops.  We foster a strong community of hikers seeking challenges, discovery, and camaraderie.   We don’t have dues and we invite ALL CMC members to sign up for any Bobcat trip that is within their ability level.

We will meet at Wooly Mammoth Park and Ride, section BB, across from the Exxon gas station, at 6:30 am so we can form carpools for the drive to the trailhead. We will leave no later than 6:35.  Here’s a Google Maps link to Wooly Mammoth: Wooly Mammoth Park-N-Ride · 18560 US-40, Golden, CO 80401

Be sure to bring the 10 essentials. Not required, but I highly recommend bringing trekking poles. And be prepared for inclement weather.
