This challenging hike is a chance to bag 3 summits in Rocky Mountain National Park in a single day. Two of the 3 are over 13,000 feet. Climbing the trifecta of 12,454-foot Mt. Chapin, 13,069-foot Mt. Chiquita and 13,514-foot Ypsilon Mountain is one of the classic hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park. The amazing panoramic views from the three peaks along the "CCY Route" are some of the best in the park.

Meet in the Safeway parking lot at 3325 28th Street in Boulder at 5:20am so we can form carpools and leave no later than 5:30am.  Specifically, park in the north end of the Safeway parking lot, near the Phillips 66 gas station. Here’s a Google Maps link to the Safeway: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gtk1po7PYjnHCpf9A

We will be starting our hike at Chapin Pass.  Parking is limited and carpools with 4x4 vehicles are highly recommended for the drive to and from the trailhead.  It is on Fall River Road in RMNP.  Here’s a Google Maps Link to the “Chapin Creek Trailhead”:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZqyLs4FhYmP9npp88

For people coming from north of Boulder, we can arrange alternate meeting locations in Lyons and/or Estes Park.
