This is a technically difficult climb as well as a strenuous long day at high altitude. We will hike 2500' and 4.5 miles to Chasm Lake and gear up, much of it in the dark. Then the climb of the couloir will include alpine skills of rock, steep snow and ice at WI2. Must be comfortable with these mountaineering skills and much exposure. We top out on and head down the other side, eventually finding the trail. Expect a long day.
We will meet at the CMC at 2 am, car pool to the Longs Peak Trailhead.
