This hike is a great way to prepare for more difficult hikes later in the summer. We will hike along a good trail through meadows of flowers, past mining ruins and up to Arapahoe Pass on the Continental Divide.  From there it is a short distance to Lake Dorothy.

The pace of this hike will be 1.5 to 2.0 miles per hour.  If you typically hike faster than this, be aware that you will need to stay with the group.

The meeting Time is EARLY because of extremely limited parking at the trailhead.  We need SUV drivers that are comfortable with rough roads.

Meet at Golden Gate Rd Parking at 4:40 am for departure no later than 4:45 am.  The parking lot is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Golden Gate Canyon Road and CO 93.  The location on Google Maps is here.

Folks from Boulder can meet the group at the Eldora High School at 6:00 am.   The leader will be driving a Silver Jeep.
